Brian Ritchie
Owner/Funeral Director/Embalmer
Brian began working for the former owners of the funeral home, Billy and Joyce Sparrow Huddleston in February 1986. He received his Funeral Director/Embalmers license in 1989. In May 1991 he bought the funeral home and has been the sole owner of the business since 2005. A 1985 graduate of Anderson County High School, he attended Asbury College, and graduated Mid-America College of Funeral Service in 1989. He has been a member of the Lawrenceburg Lions Club, Lawrenceburg Rotary Club where he was Past President and is a Paul Harris Fellow. He began serving as a deputy coroner in 1987 and later became Anderson County Coroner in 1993, serving until December 2010. He currently serves as Executive Secretary of the Kentucky Coroner Association. Brian is married to Cheri Burchfield Ritchie; the son of Linda Buntain Ritchie and the late Eugene Ritchie. He has two children, a son Adam and Hope Ritchie and a daughter Lauren Ritchie; two stepchildren, Chase and Hanna Harrod; and two granddaughters, Avery and Breanna.

Kim Pendleton

Kim joined our funeral home in 1992 and obtained her funeral directors license in 1997. She is married to Tom Pendleton and they have three children, Heather Curtsinger (Michael), Daniel Pendleton (Toshua), and Amber Pendleton (Russ); and four grandchildren, Reece, Dylan, Ellie & Aspen.

Kim joined our funeral home in 1992 and obtained her funeral directors license in 1997. She is married to Tom Pendleton and they have three children, Heather Curtsinger (Michael), Daniel Pendleton (Toshua), and Amber Pendleton (Russ); and four grandchildren, Reece, Dylan, Ellie & Aspen.
Karla Phillips
Funeral Director/Embalmer
Karla joined the Ritchie & Peach staff in June of 2023. She graduated from Anderson County High School in 2007 and then received her Bachelors in Exercise Science from Asbury University in 2011. She taught at Stewart Home & School for 12 years before deciding to move on to a different type of rewarding career. She graduated, with honors, from Mid-America College of Funeral Service with her Associates of Applied Science in December of 2023. Karla is the daughter of Woody and Nancy Phillips. She resides in Lawrenceburg with her partner, Brandon, and their son, Silas.

Karla joined the Ritchie & Peach staff in June of 2023. She graduated from Anderson County High School in 2007 and then received her Bachelors in Exercise Science from Asbury University in 2011. Jesse Currens
Funeral Director/Embalmer
Jesse joined the Ritchie & Peach staff in July 2017. A member of the First Baptist Church and the Kiwanis Club of Lawrenceburg, he graduated from Anderson County High School in 2014 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Administration from Georgetown College in 2017. Jesse is the son of Keith and Tamara Currens and has a sister, Kaci Crouch. He obtained his transport license in 2019 and began a Funeral Director & Embalmer Apprenticeship in October 2024. In June 2024, Jesse married Tiffani Currens, and together, they have three golden retrievers, Rupp, Riley, and Rigley.
Additionally, Jesse holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Morehead State University (2017) and a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration from Western Kentucky University (2024). He previously worked as a math teacher at Anderson County Middle School and Anderson County High School for three years, and he served as the Districtwide Athletic Director for Anderson County Schools for the past three years.
Jesse graduated from Mid-America College of Funeral Service in the fall of 2025 and obtained his Kentucky Funeral Director and Embalmer licenses in December 2025. He is known for his caring and compassionate nature and is a tremendous addition to our staff.

Kieran Birdwhistell
Apprentice (Level II)
Kieran joined the Ritchie & Peach Staff in January of 2021 and is now a level II apprentice. She graduated from Anderson County High School in 2020 and is currently enrolled in John A. Gupton College. Kieran is the daughter of Clay and Tracey Birdwhistell. She has three sisters Katie Jett, Kali, and Kara Birdwhistell.

In Loving Memory 1934 - 2020
Bud joined our staff in January, 2012 and was a tremendous blessing to our staff and the families we serve. Bud and his wife Drucilla Casey Gritton have three sons, Lynn Gritton and his wife Lynne Marie, Blaine Gritton and his wife Lorrie, and Kelly Gritton.
