History of the Home
The land where the current funeral home is located was purchased in 1885. The home was completed in the early 1900's by Mr. Lucien McBrayer. Mr. Ed Watts, operator of a hukster wagon in Anderson and Spencer Counties, along with his family lived here till the mid 1960's. Billy and Joyce Sparrow Huddleston purchased the home in the late 1960's and opened the Huddleston Funeral Home in 1974. Brian Ritchie began working with the Huddleston's in February 1986 and purchased the funeral home in May 1991. Brian is the sole owner of the funeral home today.
