Wilma Cook Funeral Service Broadcast

Wilma Harris Cook, 93, passed away December 13, 2023 at The Masonic Home in Shelbyville, KY.  Born in Irvine, KY on June 14, 1930, Wilma was the daughter of Charles and Mattie Harris.

A retired clerk for the Kentucky Department of Labor, Wilma was a member of the Boone Plaza Church of Christ in Frankfort.  She enjoyed going with friends to flea markets and Goodwill.  She loved her family, but most of all loved her grandchildren and dog Lexi.

She is survived by her children, Connie (husband Kevin) Lomax of San Antonio, TX, Lisa (husband Greg) Thurman of Lawrenceburg, and Joel Cook of Lexington; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Sonny (wife Janelle) Harris; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her siblings, Charlie, Jr., Lehman, Flora, Zelma, Wynemia, Buddy, Russell, Laura, and Faye.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am -12 pm Tuesday, December 19, 2023 followed by the funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM Tuesday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Bro. Noal Cotton, Jr. will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Frankfort Cemetery, Frankfort, KY.
