William Allen Stucker, 87, husband of 68 years to Joyce Brown Stucker, passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at Harrodsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born December 16, 1932 in Anderson County, Bill was the son of the late Marion Stucker, Sr. and Sidney Siers Stucker.
Including his parents, Bill was preceded in death by five siblings, Marion Stucker, Jr., Earl Stucker, Marvin Stucker, Harley Stucker, Mary Boston and Joyce Ann Stucker.
Bill was a retired manager with IBM in Lexington and a member of Sand Spring Baptist Church, were he served as a deacon emeritus for 29 years, a former Sunday School teacher, and former Sunday School Director. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved spending time with his family.
Including his wife, Bill is survived by a daughter, Lynda Shearer and her husband Robert of Salvisa; two grandsons, Robert Shearer II and his wife Karen, of Harrodsburg, Richard Shearer and his wife Jolene of Lawrenceburg; four great grandchildren, Makayla, Trace, Michael & Sara; a sister, Jean Hogg and her husband Manford of Lawrenceburg.
Visitation will be from 11A.M., - 1:00 P.M., Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with service immediately following at 1:00 P.M. Dr. Mike Hamrick will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Shearer, II, Richard Shearer, Trace Shearer, Michael Shearer, Herbert Stucker, Mike Stucker and John David Stucker. Honorary bearers will be Karen Shearer, Jolene Shearer, Makayla Shearer and Sara Shearer, Deacons of Sand Spring Baptist Church, and the Harrodsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center Staff.
Memorials are suggested to Sand Spring Baptist Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 166, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.
To abide by the regulations set forth by the State of Kentucky (effective June 20, 2020) 50% occupancy of the funeral home will be in practice and everyone is asked to wear face coverings and practice social distancing for all who attend. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
