William Paul Ritchey Funeral Service Broadcast

William Paul Ritchey, age 87, husband of 68 years to Sarah Alice Franklin Ritchey, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024. Paul was born February 28, 1937 in Shelby County, KY to the late James William Ritchey and Mary Katherine Ritchey.

Including his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Ritchey; a brother-in-law, B.F. Carriss; and two sisters-in-law; Cecilia Ritchey and Pamela Ritchey.

He was a retired employee of C.C. Tool in Frankfort and a member of Pigeon Fork Baptist Church.

Including his wife Sarah, Paul is survived by a son, Paul Douglas Ritchey (Nita) of Frankfort; two daughters, Treva Joyce Bowles (David) and Dana Diann Mehs (Steven), all of Lawrenceburg; two brothers, Marvin Ritchey and Jim Ritchey, both of Waddy; two sisters, Lillie Mae Carriss and Doris Ann Ritchey, both of Waddy; five grandchildren, Tiffany Joy Durham (Wylia) of Graefenburg, Ryan Andrew Bowles, Long Beach, CA, Julie Marie Bowles Mudd (Lee), Justin Nathaniel Mehs and Caitlin Nicole Mehs Clemons (Shawn), all of Lawrenceburg; four great grandchildren, Brandon Durham, Amber Durham, Jack Mudd and Alex Mudd; and a sister-in-law, Penny Ritchey of Shelbyville.

Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, September 19, 2024 at the Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Vernon Carpenter officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pigeon Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Anderson County. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 5 – 8 P.M. and after 10 A.M. Thursday till time of service at the funeral home.

Casket bearers will be Justin Mehs, Michael Paul Ritchey, Dwayne Alan Ritchey, William "Will" Ritchey, James Douglas Ritchey and Wylia Durham.  Honorary bearers will be Charles Ritchey, Brandon Durham, Shawn Clemons, David Bowles, Steve Mehs, Greg Beasley, David Sutherland and Lee Mudd.
