William Burgess Lancaster, 78, of Louisville, husband of the late Mary Frances Barnett Lancaster, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 in Louisville. Born May 31, 1938 in Woodford County, Burgess was the son of the late E.B. and Rosa Fox Lancaster.

A retired employee of Brown-Forman in Louisville, Burgess was a member of the Highland Park Masonic Lodge #865 and the Order of the Eastern Star Victory Chapter #447 in Louisville.

Burgess is survived by a son, Danny R. (Debbie) Lancaster of Louisville; three grandchildren, Michael, Jesse, and Jeremy; four great grandchildren; and three sisters, Margaret Lay of Versailles, Lucille (William) White of Lawrenceburg, and Helen Rowe of Versailles. Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Lancaster.

Services will be held Friday, Dec. 30th beginning at 10:30 AM at the Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home led by Bro. Glenn Corn. Visitation will be 3 – 7 PM Thursday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Masonic Rites will be observed Thursday evening.
