William Edward Grigsby, 86, of Lawrenceburg passed away Friday, Dec. 5, 2014 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. He is the husband of Regina Scott Grigsby to whom he was married 59 years.

Born Sept. 16, 1928 in Washington County, KY, he was the son of the late Rucker Washington and Nancy Sutton Grigsby. He served in the U.S. Army and attended Campbellsville College where he received a teacher's certificate. He worked as a teacher, cheese maker and as a salesman for Diversey-Wyondotte Corp. of Michigan. He and his wife are members of the Lawrenceburg United Methodist Church.

Along with his wife, he is survived by two children, William "Bill" (Donna) Grigsby, Jr. of Shelbyville, and Sherry (Roy) Cox of Lawrenceburg; five grandchildren, Jessica, Brett, Kellie, Shelly and Will; four great grandchildren; and a brother, Rucker (Yvonne) Grigsby, Jr.; several nieces and nephews.

He was recently preceded in death by a son, Kevin Scott Grigsby, and two sisters, Ann Salchli and Peggy Harrod.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, Dec. 8th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Al Peach officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be 12 – 2 PM Monday.
