William Harrison Goodlett, 67, husband of 45 years to Josephine Beasley Goodlett, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center - ER. Born October 10, 1952 in Versailles, KY, son of the late William Clarence Goodlett and Ida Corn Goodlett.
William was a former employee of IBM in Lexington. A member and former deacon at New Hope Baptist Church in Versailles, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Including his wife, William is survived by four children, Joseph Beasley of Lawrenceburg, Rodney Wash of Louisville, Stacy Wash Mason of Lawrenceburg and William Turner Goodlett of Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Linda Goodlett Peyton and Louketta Marie Goodlett, both of Lawrenceburg; a brother, Norman Earl Gudgel and his wife Bobbie of Lawrenceburg; three grandchildren, Geri Wash, Shelby McDannold, and Aaron Wash; four great grandchildren, Harper Stratton, Bailee Poe, Haisley Whitaker and Jayson Poe; and several step brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be Monday, July 6th from 12 noon – 2 pm followed by the service beginning at 2:00 PM at the Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home. Pastors Mark Studler and Kenny Robinson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Alton Cemetery, Anderson County, KY.
Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Peyton, Ronnie Goodlett, Brian Satterwhite, Norman Beasley, John Beasley and Don Beasley. Honorary bearers will be Chesta Jewell, J.B. Satterwhite, Howard Beasley and Darryl Proctor.
To abide by the regulations set forth by the State of Kentucky effective June 20, 2020, fifty (50%) occupancy of the funeral home will be in practice and everyone is asked to wear face coverings and practice social distancing for all who attend. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
