William Thomas "Bill" Carmickle, 80, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 at his residence. William was born November 13, 1938 in Mercer County, KY to the late Bowen Walter and Edna Thomas (Darland) Carmickle.

Bill was a farmer, a retired Head Custodian with the Saffell Street Elementary School, a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, and served in the U.S. Army.

Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, George Ann (Brown) Carmickle; a sister, Evalina Carmickle; and a brother, James Walter Carmickle.

Bill is survived by his companion of several years, Bonnie (Drury) Casey; two sons, Charles B. Carmickle of Henry County, KY and Doug Carmickle of Frankfort; three grandchildren, Christopher Brandon Carmickle, Amber Marie Jenkins and husband Chucky, and Sarah Nicole Carmickle, all of Lawrenceburg; four great grandchildren Matthew and Abigail Grzynkowicz, Chance and Ralen Jenkins; two sisters, Henrietta Carmickle Goins of Frankfort and Betty Carmickle Smith of Harrodsburg; a brother, Bowen Edward Carmickle of Lawrenceburg; and Bonnie's two daughters, Faye Casey and June Byrne, both of Lawrenceburg.

Services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home with Bro. George Dye officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 8 P.M., Thursday at the funeral home.
