Due to weather conditions, services for Willetta Barnett have been postponed until Monday, January 10, 2022.  Visitation will be 11 am - 1 pm followed by the service beginning at 1:00 pm Monday.  Burial will be 10 am Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Willetta Barnett Service Broadcast

Willetta Boler Barnett, 84, wife of the late Louis Spencer Barnett, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center, Frankfort, KY.  Born in Anderson County, KY on July 25, 1937, Willetta was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Boler and Mary Alice Burks Boler.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Alrenzo Williams and a great grandson, Izaiah Barnett.

A housewife, Willetta was a graduate of the Lincoln Institute and a member of the Lincoln Alumni Association.  She was a member of the Evergreen Baptist Church and an Honorary Kentucky Colonel.

Survivors include her children, Constance Barnett of Lawrenceburg, Gwen Barnett Williams (husband Mario) of Frankfort, Wileen Barnett of Lawrenceburg, Spencer Barnett (wife Kathy) of Lawrenceburg, a "Special Son" Louis Barnett of Lawrenceburg; sisters, Euith (husband Pete) Huggins of Indianapolis and Alberta Johnson of Frankfort; a sister-in-law, Jenny Barnett of Louisville; six grandchildren, Azavic (Eli) Williams of Lexington, Weylin Barnett of Lawrenceburg, Marcus Penny of Frankfort, Sierra Barnett of Lawrenceburg, Sidnei Barnett of Winchester, and Azeno Williams of Frankfort; 11 great grandchildren; God-daughters, Burnetta Thurman of Danville and Cindy Robinson of Lawrenceburg; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special cousins, George Bean of Frankfort, William "Buggs" Bean of Frankfort, and Arlene Nance of Winchester.

Service will be held at 1:00 Monday, January 10 ^th at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Rev. J.K. Cunningham, Sr. officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11–1 PM Monday at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Burial will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 11th at Sunset Memorial Gardens Chapel in Frankfort.

Serving as pallbearers will be Sean Bean, Tristan Bean, Randy Hudson, Matthew Milton, Eric Barnett, Sr., and Wilgus Winkfield.  Honorary bearers will be Patrick Milton, Anthony Bean, Norma Puckett, Betty Sutherland, Linda Sutherland, Donna Baker, and Dave Baker.
