Wilda Bond Funeral Service Broadcast

Wilda Ray Overstreet Bond, 84, wife of the late Miron Mitchell "Mickey" Bond, passed away November 29, 2023 at her home in Lawrenceburg. Born in Anderson County on January 8, 1939, Wilda was the daughter of Russell Overstreet and Annie Phillips Overstreet.

Including her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melisa "Missy" Mirona Bond Hawkins, and a sister, Elizabeth Sea.

Wilda worked as an executive secretary for Governor Wendell Ford's administration, as a recording secretary for the Kentucky Legislature and at Fasig Tipton.  She was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafting, reading, and collecting books.

Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Ann Miller and her husband Joseph of Willisburg; a son-in-law, Jeff "Hawk" Hawkins of Lawrenceburg; six grandchildren, Micki Laine Ray, Adrian Ann Douglas (Chris), Shannon Rae Brown, Carl Warren Kinne, Jr. (Michelle), Rebecca Lynn Ratliff (Ross), and Courtney-Gale Hawkins; two step-grandchildren, Elizabeth Rhodus (Adam) and Jason Miller (Desi); 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Russell T. Overstreet (Brenda); and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11 am – 2 pm Sunday, December 3, 2023 followed by the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM Sunday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Dr. Robert Ehr will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Sea, Kerry Sea. Kelly Sea, Chris Douglas, Camron Harrison, Warren Kinne.  Honorary bearers will be Jeff Hawkins, Karen Smith, Nita Isley, and Margie Bucklew.
