Wendy Lee Ryan Penwell, 53, wife of Larry J. Penwell, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY.  Born in Bainbridge, New York on April 7, 1969, Wendy was the daughter of the late Diane Kinter and Dana Ryan.

A former maintenance employee at Bluegrass Community & Technical College, Wendy loved reading horror books, especially books written by Stephen King.  Besides her family her greatest love was her cats.

Along with Larry, her husband of 28 years, she is survived by her three children, Larry R. Penwell (wife Patricia), Laura N. Bowman (husband Hank), and Leslie Manns, all of Lawrenceburg, and two grandsons, James Parker Bowman and Zander Joe Newton.

Private family services will be held.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.
