Wayne Stratton Funeral Service Broadcast

Dudley Wayne Stratton, 72, husband of Bobbi Catlett Stratton, passed away January 12, 2023 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.  Born on September 30, 1951 in Frankfort, KY, Wayne was the son of William "Billy" Dudley Stratton and Joyce Mae Sea Stratton.

Wayne retired, following 27 years of service, as a route salesman for Butternut Bread Company and served in the U.S. Army Reserves.  He was a member of the Lawrenceburg First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, former caretaker of the church, sang in the Hims of Harmony, taught Fishers of Men Sunday School Class, served on numerous committees including search committees, worked in Bible School, and led worship at Heritage Hall.  He had a love for gardening and for several years drove a school bus for the Anderson County Board of Education.

Including Bobbi, his wife of 54 years, Wayne is survived by his two children, Leslie Stratton Fields and Andy Wayne Stratton, both of Lawrenceburg; two granddaughters, Mollie Fields and Lexi Fields, both of Lawrenceburg; three siblings, Sandy (Eddie) Humston of Versailles, Anthony (Tammy) Stratton and Tamara (Keith) Currens, both of Lawrenceburg; and a sister-in-law, Judy (Larue) Ruble of Lawrenceburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 beginning at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Dr. Robert F. Ehr officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5 – 8 PM Wednesday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home and after 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 Thursday at First Baptist Church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Currens, Tripp Humston, Michael Fortney, Chad Stratton, Jacob Crouch, Derek Ruble, and Daniel Ruble.
