Wanda Perry Funeral Service Broadcast

Wanda Joyce Hoskins Perry, 84, wife of the late John Allen Perry, passed away December 6, 2023.  Born in Anderson County on February 23, 1939, Wanda was the daughter of Raymond Hoskins and Katherine Sea Hoskins.

Along with her husband and parents, Wanda was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Perry; and her siblings, Beulah Sea, Kenneth P. Hoskins, and C.T. Robinson.

Wanda attended Georgetown College and worked as a teacher at Alton Elementary School and later as a Deputy in Anderson County PVA Office.  A lifelong member of First Baptist Church, where she served as assistant organist and pianist for many years, a Sunday school teacher, GA leader, and a member of the Homemakers Sunday school class.  She was also a member of the Pierian Women's Club in Lawrenceburg. Wanda's greatest joy was time spent with her family, where she loved being Mimmy to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for her happy and gracious spirit.

Survivors include her children, Tim A. Perry (wife Jody), and Kathy Perry Adams, all of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Ashlyn Adams (Toby Hayden), Courtlyn (Nick) Sosby, Chris (Jan Robyn) Perry, and Brian's wife Jennifer Perry; great-grandchildren, William Jackson Perry, John Lincoln Perry, Grayson Perry, Harlan Perry, Campbell Perry, Reese Perry, Hudson Sosby, and Sloane Sosby; step grandchildren, Jared (Cassidy) Denney, Jordan Denney, and John Denney; a sister/cousin, Lucille Perry; and sisters-in-law, Shirley H. Hoskins, Nancy Bowen, and Brenda Perry.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at First Baptist Church.  Dr. Robert F. Ehr and Rev. Ernie Wayne Perry will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 PM Monday, Dec. 11th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home and after 11 AM Tuesday until time of service at First Baptist Church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Perry, Jackson Perry, John Lincoln Perry, Nick Sosby, Toby Hayden, and Philip Hoskins.  Honorary bearers will be Wayne Richard, Roy Toney, Charles Allen Perry, and members of the Homemakers Sunday School Class.
