Viron Stratton, age 94, husband of the late Betty Hoffeld Stratton, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024 in Lawrenceburg.  Viron was born December 19, 1929 in Anderson County, KY to the late Thomas C. Stratton and Noma Stratton.

Viron was a member of the 1949 graduating class of Lawrenceburg High School.  After graduating from high school, he served in the U.S. Army and attended diesel mechanic school. He was a retired, self-employed, mechanic and carpenter and was the long-time owner/operator of the Stratmore Motel in Lawrenceburg. Viron will be remembered as being a very hard worker. He was also a member of First Christian Church of Lawrenceburg.

Viron is survived by his children, Tamara (Jimmy Joe) Jackson, Natalie Stratton, and Lynn Iris (Harold) Moore; his grandchildren, Joe Jackson (Beccy), Jill Calhoun (Larry Dean), and Austin Moore;  his great grandchildren, CJ, Gabe, Amelia, Arthur, Colt, Alaigha, and Armani; and a long-time friend, Robert "Bobby" Smith.

Including his parents and wife of 64 years, Viron is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shelby Lynn Moore and three siblings.

Cremation was chosen. No services are scheduled.
