Victor Welch Funeral Service Broadcast

Victor LaRue Welch, age 76, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023.  Victor was born January 31, 1947 in Lancing, TN to the late Victory LaRue Welch and Hazel Mae Hinds Welch.

Victor served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam. Following his service, he worked in Lexington as a firefighter and a paramedic before joining the Lawrenceburg Police Department where he served as Chief of Police prior to his retirement.  In his spare time, Victor enjoyed farming and living a quiet life in the country.

Victor is survived by his children, Victoria Young (Dwight), of Lawrenceburg, Tamara Welch Cammack (David), of Frankfort, Gabriel Welch (Beth), of Lawrenceburg, and Josh Welch (Christie), of Lawrenceburg;  his grandchildren, Nicholas and Paige Young, Taylor Phillips (Eric), Ketelyn Welch (Ryan Caudill), Laura Freeman (Alex), Madalyn Drury (Zane), Ragan Welch, and Cooper Welch; five great grandchildren;  a brother, William "Red" Welch (Linda) of Tennessee.

Including his parents, Victor was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Welch and Gary Welch; and a sister, Carol Welch.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 13, 2024 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Wells officiating.  Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. till time of service at 2:00 P.M. Saturday.
