Vickey Sue Allen Boggs, 65, of Lawrenceburg, wife of 49 years of Benjamin Burton Boggs, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 at her home. Born February 13, 1950 in Louisville, KY, she is the daughter of Robert Allen of Louisville and the late Willa Mae Devine Allen.

Vickey received her B.S. Degree in Nursing from Kentucky State University. A Registered Nurse, she formerly worked at Central Baptist and St. Joseph Hospitals in Lexington and as a substitute teacher for the Anderson County Board of Education. Vickey played the piano and organ as well as taught Sunday school at previous churches she attended. She and her family are currently members of the Old Country Church in Mt. Eden.

Along with her husband and father, Vickey is survived by two children, Benjamin "Benny" Boggs II and his wife Melanie and Andrea Boggs, all of Lawrenceburg; two grandchildren, Benjamin Boggs III and Lauren Brittany Boggs; a great grandchild, Kinsley Roberts; and two sisters, Pat (Tommy) Coffey of Louisville and Cathy (Tom) Hendrickson of MS.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, January 18th at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bros. Lonnie Peach, Tim Hall, Herbie Hoskins and Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Best Cemetery in Anderson County. Visitation will be 2 – 7 PM Sunday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Conn, Toby Jamerson, Benjamin Boggs III, Daniel Jones, Preston Carl, and Doug Boblitt.
