Vernon Sanders, 71, of Lawrenceburg passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 at his home. Born May 21, 1943 in Chaplin, KY, Vernon was the son of the late Zora Sanders.

Vernon was known for being an antique dealer and the owner of the former Sander's Antiques in Lawrenceburg and Shelbyville. A member of the Sand Spring Baptist Church, Vernon served as usher for 21 years and also worked with the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief for several years.

Vernon is survived by his former wife, Sue Drury Sanders; two daughters, Susan Stinnett (Pat Cox) of Lawrenceburg, and Kathy White (Joe) of Shelbyville; three grandchildren, Josh Stinnett, Will Eubank, and Ally Beasley; two great grandchildren, Skyler Beasley and Ava Grace Beasley.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, April 29th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Dr. Mike Hamrick and Ellery Milburn will officiate. Visitation will be 5 – 8 pm Tuesday. Vernon chose cremation to follow services.
