Tony Lopez Rivera, age 59, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024, with Mary Rivera by his side. Tony was born November 5, 1964 in Lexington, KY to the late Lupy Rivera and Alvia McHatton.

Including his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his children, Vincent Anthony Rivera, Natasha Marie Rivera and Victoria Lynn Rivera; a sister, Michelle McHatton; and his fur babies, Sammy & Lady.

Tony loved working with his hands. He retired as the owner and operator of TLR Repairs. He was of the Baptist faith, an ordained minister, and a huge animal lover. Tony enjoyed any activity outdoors, such as camping and boating, which he did as often as he could at his favorite spot, Laurel Lake. Some of his favorite things were the color red, westerns, T-Bone steaks and hamburgers, which he could eat every day.

Tony is survived by ex-wife and care giver, Mary Alixe Barney Rivera of Lawrenceburg; a brother, Dennis McHatton (Brenda) of Lexington, KY; a sister, Lana McHatton Dunn of Lexington, KY; a cousin, K.T. McHatton of Lexington, KY; his mother and father-in-law, Amy & Ishmael Barney of Lawrenceburg; and his cherished fur babies, Crescent, Avery, Gizmo & Little Bit.

Special mention to Mike Stewart and the late Rodger Stewart.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Minister Tom Fore officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday from 5 – 8 P.M.

Casket bearers will be Dennis McHatten, Larry Hutcherson, Bobby Kelley, Coty Dunn, Josh McHatten and Colton McHatten.
