Carl Thomas "Tom" Teegarden, 86, husband of Priscilla Spaw Teegarden, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018. Born July 14, 1931 in Scott County, KY, Tom was the son of the late Harvey Leonard Teegarden and Margaret Jane Moorison Teegarden.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Larry Michael Jasper and Jeffery Charles Jasper, and siblings, Wanda Wood, Irene Teegarden, and Robert Kelly Teegarden.

Tom served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired as a truck driver for Consolidated Freight Ways in Lexington. He was a member of the Hebron Baptist Church in Salvisa, a Kentucky Colonel, and enjoyed going to car races.

Including his wife, Tom is survived his children, Madison Danielle Teegarden of Lawrenceburg, Beverly S. Jasper (Jerry) Gay of Somerset, Margaret Darlene Teegarden of Georgetown, Tamara Jasper (Tony) Teagan of Columbus, OH, Belinda Ruth Meece of Lawrenceburg, Patricia Gay (Lin) Doolin of Lancaster, Timothy Hollis Jasper of Newport News, VA, Thomas Ray Jasper of Somerset, Bruce Wayne (Peggy) Meece of Lawrenceburg, and Mark Richard (Suzanne) Teegarden of Lawrenceburg; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Edna Jones of Georgetown; and two nephews that were like brothers, Jerry and Gary Teegarden.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 1 ^st beginning at 12:30 PM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Jessamine County, KY. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Thursday from 10 AM – 12:30 PM at the funeral home.
