Edgar Thomas "Tom" Ritchey, 85, husband of the late Susan Caldwell Ritchey, passed away August 15, 2021 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, KY.  Born August 7, 1936 in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Maggie B. McMichael Ritchey.

Along with his wife and parents, Tom was preceded in death by a daughter Sarah Denise Ritchey, two brothers Clarence Ritchey and Harold Ritchey, and three infant sisters.

A 1956 graduate of Western High School, Tom worked as a farmer for over 56 years and as caretaker of the Fox Creek Cemetery for many years.  He served his country in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the American Legion Post #34.  He was a member of the Shiloh Christian Church where he served as an Elder.

He is survived by his daughters, Cathy Rivera of Cedar Rapids, IA, Donna Ritchey of Frankfort, and Lora (husband Brandon) Woods of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Jessica (Brady) Cooley, Whitley (Jordan) Lester, Kaitlin (Cal) Beatty, and Kian Woods; great grandchildren, Emrie Lester, Nora Lester, Declan Edgar Cooley, Maeve Cooley and Shea Beatty; and siblings, Katherine Thomas, Clyde (Sue) Ritchey, Ann (Kenny) Oliver, and Charlie (Jolene) Ritchey.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 21 ^st at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Osborn and Rev. Robbie Harman officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow in the Fox Creek Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5- 8 PM Friday and after 9 AM Saturday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Caldwell, Mike Cook, Edgar Robinson, Jr., Thomas Robinson, Russell Oliver, and Chad Ritchey.  Honorary bearers will be Steve and Saundra Cox, Matt and Karine Maynard, Andrew and Pam Connors, Kenny Nash, Janice Shely, Anderson Co. Senior Citizens Staff and Members, Shiloh Christian Church members, Christy Burke, James Phillips, Billy Shely, Patrick and Jennifer Worley, Randy and Becky Stoddard, David Bugg and Joan Caywood, Wanda Cummins, Karen Caldwell, John Hawkins, Linda Hawkins, Rodney Hawkins, Quinn Hawkins, George Blakeman, Stuart Bowman, Kim Pinkston, and Thomas Ferguson.
