Thomas Edward "Tom" Bernardi, II, age 66, husband of Rebecca "Becky" Lynn Stidham Bernardi passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 at his residence. Born Sept. 14, 1949 in Louisville, KY, Tom was the son of the late Thomas Edward and Jeanne Garnett Higdon Bernardi.

Tom worked as a skilled team leader for Toyota Manufacturing in Georgetown and served as a Captain in the U.S. Army. While in the Army he worked in engineering and was instrumental in building barracks in Saudi Arabia. Tom was devoted to his family, enjoyed discussing politics and was a strong advocate of the 2nd Amendment. His other enjoyments included boating, practical jokes, and a lover of the worst type of Sci-Fi movies.

Along with his wife, Tom is survived by four daughters, Victoria Bernardi-Deal, Jessica Bernardi Clancey, Nicole Bernardi, and Hayley Bernardi; 3 grandchildren; and seven sisters. Jeanie Bailey, Kelly Schroder, Angela Spitzer, Denise Nowak, Robin Freeman, Melanie Cervantes, and Beth Fryer.

Cremation was chosen by Tom. No services are scheduled at this time. The Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
