Thomas J. Angel, 93, of Lawrenceburg, formerly of New York, married 66 years to the late Mary Audrey Paride Angel, passed away May 29, 2016 at his home. Born November 17, 1922 in Haverstraw, NY, son of the late John and Barbara Varga Angel.

Mr. Angel worked as a self-employed house painter and was a recipient of the Purple Heart during his service with U.S. Army during W.W. II. After moving to Lawrenceburg, he and his wife became members of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Thomas was the former Commander of the Purple Heart in NY and enjoyed playing golf and smoking cigars.

He is survived by his daughters, Maria (Joseph) Cataldi of Lawrenceburg and Jeannette (William) Warms of Lords Valley, PA, two grandsons, Joseph Cataldi, Jr. of Frankfort and Robert Cataldi of Lawrenceburg, four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 2nd at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Fr. John Curtis officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 -8 PM Wednesday at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.
