Thelma Mae (Richardson) Hood, 94, widow of Walter Lee Hood, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Born March 20, 1924 in Nelson County, KY, Mrs. Hood was the daughter of the late Ruel and Myrtle Terrell Richardson.

Mrs. Hood was a former house mother at Midway College and a nanny for physicians in St. Louis. She was a member of the Lawrenceburg United Methodist Church and attended Friendship/Unity Baptist Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren, reading her bible, television, and watching ice skating.

She is survived by her two children, Vickey Lynn (Clifton "Ed") Adams of Lawrenceburg and Gary Lee (Judy) Hood of San Leon, TX; her grandchildren Darein Adams, Buddy Adams, Dawn (Michael) Buntain, Chuck Beddoe, Anthony, and Bobby; 8 great grandchildren, Katherine Johnson, Joseph Adams, Lindsey Carmack, Noah and Nathan Buntain, Dylon Huff, Tory and Cody Adams; 8 great-great grandchild; and one great-great-great grandson; a sister, Nancy Lewis of Louisville; and a sister-in-law, Lorrine Richardson.

Along with her husband and parents, Mrs. Hood was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Morris and Gladys Ethel Richardson, and three brothers, Elwood, Clinton and Kenneth Richardson.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 9 ^th beginning at 11:00 AM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Bro. Bobby Chesser will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will held on Sunday from 4 – 6 PM.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Smith, Nathan and Noah Buntain, Dylon Huff, Cody Adams, and Cameron Stigers. Honorary bearers will be Sharon Bowman, Margaret Perry, Phyllis Grubbs, and Gertrude Peach.
