Thelma Ann Dillon Blair, 82, wife of the late Felix Blair, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Bradford Square in Frankfort. Born February 22, 1935 in Lexington, KY, Thelma was the daughter of the late Beaudatha Margaret Murphy and Raymond Smith Baxter. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Warner and Wilma Jean Boggs.
Mrs. Blair was a graduate of Athens High School in Lexington, a homemaker, and a member of the Ashland Avenue Baptist Church in Lexington. She enjoyed working with flowers, quilting, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Blair is survived by her three children, James Blair of Lawrenceburg, Jean Carol (Danny) Smith of Bowling Green, and Phyllis Ann Darnell Hedges of Lawrenceburg; nine grandchildren, Muri (John) Potts, Leslie (Cameron) Bennett, Anthony (Alicia) Smith, Joseph (Sarah) Smith, Christopher (Brandi) Smith, Kimberly (Mike) Schell, Crystal Darnell McKay, Austin (Rachel) Darnell, Dudley (Trish) Darnell, Jr.; 19 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a brother, Cecil (Flo) Warner of Frankfort; her sister-in-law, Ethel Blair of Bourbon County; and her nephew, Ruben Harness.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7 th beginning at 2:00 PM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Alvin Cummins, Ruby Watts, and Muri Potts speaking. Burial will follow in the Hebron Cemetery in Anderson County. Visitation will be held from 5–9 PM on Friday.
Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Blair, Earl Riley, Joey Smith, Andy Smith, Austin Darnell, and Dudley Darnell, Jr. Honorary bearers will be Roy Meade, Jaylen Ballard, Mike and Jaryn Schell, Christopher Smith, Nicholas Potts, Brian and Scott Watts, Zachary Smith, Alexander Smith, Trey Darnell, and Keith Disponett.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, Kaden Tower, 6100 Dutchmans Louisville, KY 40205-3284.
