Ted Cole, 84, passed away December 10, 2023 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Born in Livingston, Ky on June 20, 1939, he was the son of the late William Cash Cole and Gertrude Griffith Cole.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Demi (Roger) Hammond and Edward (Charlene) Cole.

Ted spent his young life working for Southern Railway as a brakeman, where he traveled for work. Once he retired he settled in Anderson County in 1992. Cole was described as a simple man with simple interests. He was a true outdoorsman, he spent many hours fishing, riding horses, hunting, or just sitting outside. Even as Cole got older, he still kept a passion for reading. He also enjoyed watching TV, some of his favorites were westerns, war movies, and UK basketball.

Survivors include four children, Lynn Burdette of Mt. Vernon, William "Buddy" (Donna) Cole of Story, WY, Barry Cole of Lawrenceburg, and Chris (Leslie) Cole of Frankfort; three grandchildren, Leslie (Mike) Mitchell, Kaitlyn Cole, and Leah Hibbits; three great grandchildren, Jared Mitchell, Bailey Mitchell, and Calla Lucero; and close friends, Don & Gloria Tinsley.

Private memorial service will be held Monday at the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
