Susan Mary "Suk" Stratton Searcy, 87, widow of James Cleveland "Chum" Searcy, Jr., died Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort, KY surrounded by her family.

Born April 8, 1928 in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late William Stanley and Susan Betsy "Bessie" Disponett Stratton. She retired from Universal Fasteners with 32 years of service. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

Susan is survived by her five sons, James Winston Searcy, Larry Gale Searcy, Jackie Dale Searcy, Stanley Harrison (Linda) Searcy, and Robert Allen (Teresa) Searcy, all of Lawrenceburg; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.

Susan was preceded in death by four sisters, Evelyee Mae "Dollie" Goodlett, Maggie Pearl Stratton, Cleva Belmont "Trixie" Riley, Lucy Catherine "Lit" Rogers, and one brother, William Stanley "Brother" Stratton, Jr.

There will be no visitation or services due to her request of cremation. Her cremains will be buried in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery beside her late husband James Cleveland Searcy, Jr.
