Susan Elizabeth Trosper Denny, age 81, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 in Lexington, KY. Susan was born May 30, 1942 in Harlan County, KY to the late Arthur E. Trosper and Izetta Madge Hanson Trosper.

Susan was a 1959 graduate of Harlan County High School, a former member of Kappa Delta Sorority, and an active member at Sand Spring Baptist Church.  She loved her Sunday School Class "The Faithful Workers" and enjoyed the friendships she had made there. Susan was a former accountant with DataBeam Inc. in Lexington, and Red Mile Gaming & Racing, retiring from Red Mile after 15 years of employment.  Susan loved her Savior and enjoyed all the beautiful nature that He created. She'd never met a stranger and loved helping others any way she could. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren; she loved spending time with them, and was always ready to support them in any activities they were in.

Susan is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Hall and husband Chris of Versailles & Liz Denny and husband Bill Welsh of Stamping Ground; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Hall (Laura), Kristen Back (Joseph), Josh Hall (Annagrace), Katelyn Welsh, Kelsey Welsh and Robert "R.J." Welsh; three great grandchildren, Max, Myles and Madison Hall.

Including her parents, Susan was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Madge Denny.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 19, 2024 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Hamrick officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 – 7 P.M. and after 9 A.M. Friday till the time of service. Burial will be held Tuesday at the Lexington Cemetery.
