Loita Sue Wagoner Baker, age 88, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024 in Harrodsburg.  Sue was born November 28, 1935 in Logan County, Kentucky to the late Bowden W. Wagoner and Margaret E. Hinton Wagoner Owens.

Including her parents, Sue was preceded in death by a brother, Bryan Wagoner.

Sue was a former School Teacher and Social Worker, and received her minors in Social Work from Western University and her Master's Degree in education from Georgetown College. Sue and her sons spent many summers at the lake, and it was there she learned to water ski. Sue was a member of Alton Baptist Church and enjoyed working in her flower beds and playing piano.

Sue is survived by her sons, Jeffery D. "Randy" McElwain and his wife Linda, Kevin H. McElwain and his wife Beverly, all of Lawrenceburg; a brother, Hugh Waggoner and his wife Regena of Lewisburg, KY; a sister, Nina E. Moore of Manchester, TN; six grandchildren, Ashley Bryant, Megan McElwain, Ben McElwain, Matt McElwain, Bryan Sherwood and Chad Sherwood; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 4:00 P.M., Friday, May 24, 2024 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Dr. Jeff Eaton and Pastor Gary Ellcessor officiating.  Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. till time of service at 4:00 P.M.  Burial will take place at 1:00 P.M. (Central Time) on Friday, May 31, 2024 at the Lewisburg Cemetery in Lewisburg, KY, Logan County.
