Steve Trent Funeral Service LIVE Broadcast

Stephen "Steve" Delbert Trent, 84, husband of Lana Hawkins Trent, passed away on July 13, 2026, at his residence in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Born on December 29, 1941, in Anderson County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Hiliary Paul Trent and Gertie Cheak Trent Lyen.

Steve was a 1960 graduate of Western High School and proudly served in the United States Army Reserve. He retired after a long career as a semi-truck driver, working for Lawrenceburg Transfer Company, Edwards Sausage Company, International Paper Company, and J.R. White Contracting. He also owned and operated Steve's Septic Service and later served as a bus driver for Anderson County Schools.

Steve was a member of Alton Baptist Church, Anderson Masonic Lodge No. 90, and the Bluegrass Chapter of the American Truck Historical Society (ATHS), where he had been a member since 1994. He also faithfully served as Chairman of the Anderson County Fire Board for 19 years. Steve will be remembered for his strong work ethic, dedication to his community, and the many lives he touched throughout his lifetime.

Along with his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his brother, Hiliary Paul Trent, Jr.; and his sisters, Mae Edna "Pinkie" Trent Clark and Linda Florence Casey.

In addition to his wife of 60 years, Lana Hawkins Trent of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, Steve is survived by his sons, Stephen Hiliary (Milena) Trent of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, and Joseph Andrew (Heather) Trent of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; his daughter, Ruth Anne Trent of Frankfort, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Megan Trent (Justin) Clark, Joseph Brady Trent, and Alex Harris Trent, all of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; his great-granddaughter, Emerson Lynn Clark; and his sister, Karen Sparrow of Shelbyville, Kentucky.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, with Bro. Bryan Proctor officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery with military honors.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, and again on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Ellington, Mike Puckett, Joey Trent, Hiliary Trent, Brady Trent, Alex Trent, and Justin Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Nellie Simmons, Georgeanna Ellington, Woody Woodworth, Nathan Bowen, Sarah Emmons, and members of the ATHS.
