Sterling McDaniel, 84, survived by his wife of 25 years Linda F. Casey, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at his home. Born March 25, 1932 in Woodford County, KY, Sterling was the son of the late Neeley and Helen Blankenship McDaniel. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Frances Eaves McDaniel; a grandson, David Soard; a daughter in law Penny Snapp McDaniel; a brother, Gene McDaniel; three sisters, Opal Hockensmith, Katheryn Hockensmith and Dorothy Slucher.

Sterling worked as a truck driver for Lawrenceburg Transfer for 42 years. He enjoyed cooking and raising a garden.

Sterling is survived by a son, Larry McDaniel of Lexington; two daughters, Patricia Smith of Frankfort and Cheryl McDaniel of Lexington; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren; a sister, Christine Baker of Versailles; and two brothers, Leonard (Velda) McDaniel of Georgetown and Bill (Marilyn) McDaniel of Lawrenceburg.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 30 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Andrade officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will precede the services beginning at 11 AM Wednesday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Baker, Shannon McDaniel, Eugene McDaniel, Billy McDaniel, Mark Casey and Donald Cole

Honorary pallbearers will be Leonard McDaniel, Aiden McDaniel, Wesley McDaniel and Bill McDaniel.
