Starr Hopper Service Broadcast

Jennilee "Starr" Hopper, 61, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.  Born in Versailles, KY on May 17, 1960, Starr was the daughter of the late Charles Hopper and Virginia Pearl Propes Hopper.

Starr, a Kentucky Colonel, formerly worked as a bus driver for Head Start in Versailles and served as a deputy jailer in Woodford County.

She is survived by her two children, Summer Alsabrook Newby and her husband Todd of Harrodsburg and Skyler Alsabrook of Versailles; four grandchildren, Bentley, Paisley, Lilley, and Oakley Newby; and 11 siblings, Charlie Hopper, Elzie Hopper, Michael Hopper, Ezra Hopper, Jeffrey Hopper, Deborah Kays, Dee Dee Harvey, Kandy White, Robin Overstreet, Cathy Hopper, and Joanie Mitchell.

A gathering for family and friends will be held from 5 – 7 PM Friday, February 18 ^th followed by a service beginning at 7:00 PM Friday at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Ralph Sloane will officiate the service.  Cremation will follow the services.
