Sherwin Drury Cox Hume, age 76, wife of Billy Joe Hume, passed away August 28, 2023 at UK Hospital. Born March 17, 1947 in Washington County, Sherwin was the daughter of the late Charles Myron Drury and Susie B. Disponett Wiley.

Including her parents, Sherwin was proceeded in death by her daughter, Lesley Cox Flynn, and step-father, Estill "June" Wiley Jr.

Sherwin retired following over 30 years of service with Wild Turkey Distillery, working in the shipping department and ending her career in the visitor's center working as a tour guide. She was also a member of First Baptist Church.

Including her husband, Sherwin is survived by a daughter, Natalie Brown (Gregg);  a son-in-law, Bo Flynn; step-daughter, Melinda Shirley (Ben); and a step-son, Joey Hume (Richeal); grandchildren, Lauren DeWoody (Todd), Quinn Brown, Tanner Brown, Gage Flynn, Mia Flynn, Brooke Shirley, Abby Shirley, and Zoe Hume; a sister, Wanda Gritton (Mark); and a brother, Barry Drury.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM Friday, September 1, 2023 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Bro. Matt Sawyer and Dr. Bob Ehr will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery with a closing prayer by Janet Cooper.

Casket bearers will be Gregg Brown, Bo Flynn, Quinn Brown, Tanner Brown, Ben Hume, Gage Flynn, and Todd DeWoody.
