Sherry Elaine Preston Hornsby, 62, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020. Sherry was born on October 22, 1957 in Lexington Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Harrison Jr. Preston and Vernice Jean Preston; she was also preceded in death by sister Brenda Hager and brother Jeffery Preston, and a special nephew Tori Preston.

Sherry is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Plunkett Tinsley and Leigh Ann Plunkett Welch both of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Gaige Colston (Alyx Wilbert), Lexi Tinsley, Gracie Tinsley, Ragan Welch and Cooper Welch; two great-grandchildren, Rhenlee Colston and soon to be baby sister Amarrah Colston all of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; five brothers and sisters, Linda Vanover, Donna Lamb, Buddy Preston, Greg Preston (Lisa Preston) and Steve Preston and several nieces and nephews.

Sherry was a graduate of the Anderson County High School and a member of the Sand Spring's Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Sherry's greatest pleasure came from spending time with her grandson Gaige and watching all of her grandchildren and great children grow up, she was so proud of them all.  She also adored her dogs, Princess and Cain.

No public services will be held at this time, a special memorial will be held at a later date with family and friends. Memorials in memory of Sherry are suggested to the Open Hands Food Pantry, 1111 Industry Road, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.
