Sherry Lynn Maloney Carnahan, 57, wife of Mike Carnahan, passed away on April 16, 2026, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Born October 14, 1968, in Versailles, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Rose Lee Wethington Roe and the late Floyd Maloney, Jr.

Sherry dedicated her career to public service working for Kentucky Public Accounts Auditors with the Office of the Ombudsman. A devoted member of Ninevah Christian Church, she had a deep and abiding faith. She spent countless hours studying Scripture, even writing out passages of the Bible to commit them to memory. Sherry was passionate about her beliefs and found great joy in sharing her love of Jesus with others. She also had a love for travel, especially cruises, but above all, Sherry treasured time with her family. She took great pride in being a Nonna to her grandchildren, a role she cherished deeply.

In addition to her husband of 23 years, Mike, and her mother, Rose; Sherry is survived by her five children; her ten grandchildren; and her two sisters.

Along with her father, Sherry was preceded in death by a son, Seth Carnahan.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Ninevah Christian Church, 1195 Ninevah Road, Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, with Terry Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Ninevah Christian Church and again on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Harper, Jared Travis, Jarrod Carnahan, Kip Waller, Eric Harris, and Forrest Hunter. Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Harper, Jaxson West, and Forrest Hunter, Jr.
