Sherman Leroy Brinkley, 70, of Salvisa, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021 in Frankfort.  Sherman was born August 19, 1951 in Charleston, West Virginia.

Sherman was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Lee Mays Jarrett.

Sherman was a former welder and mechanic for Carey's Towing & Recovery in Lawrenceburg, a heavy equipment operator, and a former Merchant Marine.  He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast, he loved riding his bike by himself and with his buddies.  Sherman never met a stranger, and always had a kind word to whoever he met.  He loved animals, but was partial to his dog Dingo.  Two of his favorite pastimes were fishing and enjoying an MGD "Miller Genuine Draft".

Sherman is survived by his companion of fifteen years, Christy Cairell of Frankfort;  a brother, Jack Brinkley and his wife Cheryl;  two nephews, Jonathan Brinkley and is wife Crystal, and Matthew Brinkley, all of Charleston, West Virginia;  close friends Ricky Coke and his wife Bea of Salvisa;  Eddie Carey and his wife Angie, David, Justin, Jarrod, Cody and Chase Carey, and Chris Skaggs, all of Lawrenceburg; and also many biker buddies.

No services are scheduled. Sherman chose cremation.
