Roy Doss Service Broadcast

Roy Eugene Doss, 84, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.  Born January 6, 1937 in Franklin County, Roy was the son of the late Roy Jackson Doss and Mary Elizabeth Carrier Doss.

Along with his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his wife Mary Agnes Cummins Doss; a son-in-law Ronald Earl McClellan; and daughters-in-law Carlotta Doss and Vickie Doss.

A retired employee of the Anderson County Board of Education, Roy worked as a bus driver, janitor and a mechanic.  He was a member of the Victory Chapel Church where he served as the Sunday school superintendent.   An avid fisherman, he also enjoyed yard sales and spending time with his family.

He is survived by this three children, Edward Glynn Doss, Sr. of Versailles, Wanda Sue Doss McClellan of Frankfort, and Lloyd Eugene (wife Flossie) Doss of Frankfort; five grandchildren, Edward Glynn Doss, Jr., Caressa Renea Dotson, Kelly Lynette Walker, Shane A. McClellan, and Daniel Scott Doss; 13 great grandchildren; and a brother, David Allen (wife Sherry) Doss of Lawrenceburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 22 ^nd beginning at 1:00 PM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Maynard officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5 – 8 PM Thursday and after 11 AM Friday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Doss, Eddie Doss, Allen McClellan, Justin Doss, Trevor Dotson, and John Doss.  Honorary bearers will be David Lee Doss and Matthew Doss.
