Ronald Lyen Hawkins, 88, husband of the late Mary Evelyn Beasley Hawkins, passed away September 30, 2024 at Frankfort Trails Nursing Facility in Frankfort, KY.  Born in Lawrenceburg, KY on January 11, 1936, Ronald was the son of the late Clarence Hawkins and Cordia Riley Hawkins.

A graduate of Anderson County High School, Ronald worked as a tool and die maker for Florida Tile until his retirement. He was a lifelong resident of Lawrenceburg and a dedicated member of Ninevah Christian Church, where he found community and support. In his free time, Ronald enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors hunting and fishing, which brought him immense joy throughout his life.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Paterson "Roy" Alves; his brothers, Irvin Hawkins, Earl Hawkins, J.C. Hawkins, Floyd Hawkins, Paul Hawkins, Garland Hawkins, Leon Hawkins, and Maurice Hawkins; and his sisters, Juanita Peyton, Zula Belle Darnell, and Mary Catherine Thurman.

He is survived by a son, Samuel P. "Sammy" Alves (wife Missy) of Lawrenceburg; a daughter-in-law, Penny Alves; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Jordan, Hannah, Ariauna, Natasha, Tiffany, Christina; eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and sisters-in-law, Betty Hawkins and Evelyn Hawkins.

A funeral service to honor Ronald's life will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Ninevah Christian Church.  Terry Cooper, Will Cooper, and Chad Cooper will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 until the time of service at 12:00.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Alves, Jordan Alves, Sam Laytart, Greg Wells, Mike Hawkins, Dustin Gilbert, and Lee Moore. Serving as an honorary bearer will be Bobby Thurman.
