Robert Lee Spencer, IV, age 51, of Louisville passed away Saturday, September 30th at Norton Audubon Hospital following a brief illness. He was born July 7, 1972 in Lexington, KY to the late Doris Ann Preston Spencer and Robert Lee Spencer, III of Waddy, KY.

A native of Waddy, he was a 1990 graduate of Shelby County High School, attended Murray State University, and served in the U.S. Navy. Robert was an avid film and music enthusiast and was a pro at trivia. His gift for recalling details about family occasions, world events, actors and musicians was impressive. Robert was a Christian and although he is at Peace, his passing leaves a void in our hearts.

Including his mother, Doris Spencer, he is also preceded in death by his grandparents and an uncle.

Including his father Robert L. "Bob" Spencer, III, he is also survived by his brother, Matthew Spencer, of Columbus, North Carolina; an aunt and several cousins.

Memorial visitation will be held Thursday, October 5th from 5-7pm at Ritchie-Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg with service to follow at 7pm with Rev. Tex Selph officiating. Robert chose cremation and his remains will be privately interred on the family plot in Lawrenceburg Cemetery at a later date.
