Robert "Pete" Smith, 81, of Lawrenceburg passed away Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014 at the Bluegrass Community Hospital in Versailles. He was the husband of Gladys L. Whitehouse Smith of Lawrenceburg and born March 24, 1933 in Mercer County, KY, son of the late Dora Bell Smith Caldwell.

Pete worked as a milk hauler for Jack Carlton, Winston Drury, and Tom Slayback. He enjoyed his family and fishing.

Including his wife, Pete is survived by two sons, Terry (Judy) Smith and Eric (Genny) Smith, both of Lawrenceburg; 5 grandchildren, Angel Smith, Clellie Lewis, Linda Tate, Anthony Smith, and Laurie Smith; a great grandchild, Kai Smith; two sisters, Blanche York and Betty "Peg" Robinson, both of Lawrenceburg; two brothers, John W. (Phyllis) Caldwell and Roger (Karen) Caldwell, both of Lawrenceburg. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Susan Ritchey, Jean Hawkins, Dora Lee Robinson, Audrey Riddell; and three brothers, Earl Caldwell, Bill Caldwell, and James "Wop" Caldwell.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, Sept. 16th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 – 8 PM Monday.  Interment:  Lawrenceburg Cemetery
