Robert E. "Bob" Johnson, 99, of Lawrenceburg, KY formerly of Anderson, IN passed away Tues., Feb. 11, 2014 at his residence. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 52 years Mary Kathryn Palmer Johnson.

He was born August 2, 1914 in Indianapolis, IN to the late John Edgar and Mary Elizabeth Blockson Johnson. He worked as a farmer and retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in Anderson, IN. Upon moving to KY he worked at Frankfort Habilitation. He is a member of the First Christian Church in Lawrenceburg, KY.

Mr. Johnson is survived by a son, Ron E. Johnson and a daughter, Bambi (Bobby) Sparrow of Lawrenceburg, KY; four grandchildren, Heather L. Boggs, Ragan N. (Brad) Burge, Todd (Mary) Sparrow, Tonya (Paul) Cookendorfer; 5 great grandchildren, Sadie Kathryn Burge, Megan and Sean Sparrow, Kala and Hunter Cookendorfer; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Including his wife and parents, he was proceeded in death by three sisters, Lillian Lockwood, Polly Seybert, and Peggy Stollemyer; and four brothers, James C. Johnson, Richard T. Johnson, Col. William T. Johnson, and Lt. Col. Ralph E. Johnson.

Funeral services will be 11:30 AM, Monday, Feb. 17th at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, IN. Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM Friday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg, KY and 2 – 6 PM Sunday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home.
