Robert Eugene Cox, Sr., 83, of Miramar Beach, FL, formerly of Lawrenceburg, passed away Friday, Aug. 8, 2014 in New Orleans, LA.

Mr. Cox was the co-founder/President of Kentucky Overall Service. While living in Lawrenceburg, he served as an Elder of the First Christian Church, a City Councilman and Mayor pro tem, Past President of Lawrenceburg Rotary Club, the Jaycee's, director of the Anderson National Bank, and as past president of Southeastern Textile Rental Association.

His survivors include three children, Nancy Cox (Spivey) Lipsey of New Orleans, LA, Robert Eugene (Pam) Cox, Jr. of Frankfort, KY and Mitzi Mann (Scott) Brown of Lawrenceburg, KY; 8 grandchildren, Spivey Lipsey, III, Alex (Andrew) Kinder, Miles (Ashlie) Cox, Clay Cox, Grant Cox, Ross Cox, Evan Brown, and Spencer Brown; a great granddaughter Lilly Cox, and a brother Charles Haze (Faylee) Cox of TX.

A celebration for the life of Mr. Cox will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Sand Spring Baptist Church, 1616 Harrodsburg Rd., Lawrenceburg, KY. The service will be officiated by Dr. Mike Hamrick. Visitation will be 11 am – 1 pm Saturday at the church.  Interment:  Cremation
