Rita Fay Norton, age 60, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 in Frankfort, KY.  Rita was born November 26, 1961 in Spencer County, Kentucky to the late James Dillard Norton and Minnie Louise Nation Norton.

Rita retired from Kentucky State Government, where she had worked as an Administrative Specialist.  She was a member of the Mt. Eden Church of God, she loved to garden, and go to the beach. Her greatest loves were her family, and her loving pup, Weezy.

Rita is survived by her daughter, Shavon Marie Akins of Lawrenceburg;  her grandchildren, Tyler Massie, of Lawrenceburg, Adam Akins, (Kayla), of Lawrenceburg, Morgan Matiz (Bailey) Clarksville, TN and Joshua Massie of Lawrenceburg;  her great grandson, Wyatt Luke Akins; her sisters, Wanda Murphy (Rod), Jeanette Matherly (Earl), Lisa Riggins (John), all of Lawrenceburg, Phyllis Nall of Owensboro;  her brother, Gary Norton (Caroline) of Frankfort; and her loving companion, Norman Beasley of Frankfort.

Including her parents, Rita was preceded in death by two brothers, Darrell Norton and Mike Norton.

Funeral service will be 7 P.M., Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Burkhead officiating.  Visitation will be from 4 P.M., till time of service at 7 P.M.
