Funeral Service Broadcast for Ricky Cox

Richard Dale "Frisby" Cox, age 58, husband of Kim Cox, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024.  Ricky was born May 3, 1966 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Richard Dale Frisby and Louella Marie Downs Cox.

Including his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvin and Martha Downs and a brother-in-law, Jim Woods.

Ricky was a former Thermal Sales Technician for Thermal Equipment Service. Ricky enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing the guitar. He enjoyed listening to many different types of music. Ricky was of the Baptist faith and was very supportive of Friendship & Unity Baptist Church helping in any way that he could. He will be most remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Ricky is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Kim; two children, Katy Smith (Anthony) and Gary Cox (Celesta); three sisters, Anna Frisby-Woods, Carol Frisby, Cindy Cox; a brother,  Mikey Cox (Shawnda); and six grandchildren, Zoey, Ricky, Lucas, Riley, Oliva, and Lily.

Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Chesser officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M. Burial will take place immediately following the service at the Midway Cemetery in Midway, KY. The family requests that those in attendance of the visitation and funeral service wear jeans and their favorite t-shirt in memory of Ricky.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Cox, Joe Harris, Tyler King, Zach Brown, Richard Smith, Scott Sharp, and Steve Coulter. Honorary bearers will be Darwin LeMaster, Ken LeMaster, Anthony Smith, Zach Vest, and Stephen Saylor.
