Richard "Dickie" Franklin Beasley, 70, husband of Elaine Murphy Beasley, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Born October 5, 1946 in Woodford County, KY, Dickie was the son of the late James and Nancy Soard Beasley.
Dickie was a retired special equipment operator for the Dept. of Transportation Division of KY State Government. A member of the Hebron Christian Church and the Bluegrass Horse Pullers Association, Dickie also enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and the Lawrenceburg Chicken Swap.
Along with his wife of 50 years Elaine, he is survived by two daughters, Sharon Beasley Ross of Lawrenceburg and Susan Beasley (Ronnie) Dixon of Catlettsburg; two grandchildren, Abigail Rogers of Frankfort and Jacob Rogers of Lawrenceburg; a sister, Mary (Ronald) Hawkins of Lawrenceburg; and three brothers, Bill (Betty) Beasley of Lawrenceburg, Tony (Dixie) Beasley of Mercer County, and Jerry (Minnie) Beasley of Lexington; and his beloved fur baby, MeMe. Including his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Larry Ross and a brother Jimmy Beasley.
Private services will be held for Dickie. He will be buried in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
