Rhonda Gail Varnado Stratton, 62, wife of Joseph Arnett Stratton, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at her home. Born August 12, 1954 in Denham Springs, LA, Rhonda is the daughter of Jackie Cowart Varnado and the late Melvin L. Varnado.

Rhonda worked 27 years as an employee for the State of Louisiana and was a member of the Sand Spring Baptist Church. She had a love for music which drew her to the unique singing voice of her husband Arnett.

Along with her mother and husband, Rhonda is survived by two sons, Maverick LeBlanc of St. Louis and Ben (Kadi) LeBlanc of Walker, LA; and her siblings, Susan (Brian) Scardina, Kenneth (Janet) Varnado, and Richard (Jean) Varnado, all of Denham Springs, LA.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 19 ^th beginning at 10:00 AM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Dr. Mike Hamrick and Rev. Jim Wheeler will officiate the service. Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 PM Tuesday. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Jessamine County, KY.
