Raymond Everett Leisure, 47, husband of Nicole Renee Hogrefe Leisure, passed away, Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in Frankfort.

Raymond was born April 5, 1974 in San Jose, CA.  He was a member of the Ninevah Christian Church, and a Technical Engineer with Kentucky Higher Education.  Raymond had a servants heart for Christ.  He, along with his wife Nicole, served on the mission field in several states and countries.  They served most recently in Uganda through World Gospel Mission.  Raymond worked on many projects together with various people groups on water purification, alternative cooking methods, home repair, and church plants.  He was always learning, with the hopes that he could help others have a better life. He loved to tinker, fix and create almost anything,  giving him the nickname "MacGyver", which was one of his favorite  television shows. He also loved target shooting, computers, board games, being a mechanic, and hunting.  In 2019 he shot his first deer, an 8 Point, which he was very proud of.  But his greatest love and passion was for his family, his friends, and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Including his wife Nicole, Raymond is survived by his parents, Lola Standley of Cedar City, Utah;  his father and step mother, Herb and Luanna Leisure;  his children, Joshua Everett Leisure and his fiancée Sara Halpin of Oklahoma, and Katherine Elizabeth Leisure of Lawrenceburg;  two brothers, Anthony Ladd and his wife Yulia of California, Jeff Ladd and his wife Jenny of Oregon;  and close friends Josh & Carol Proctor of  Frankfort.

Services will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Ninevah Christian Church with Pastor Terry Cooper officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 - 8 P.M., at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home and Wednesday after 9 A.M. till time of service at the church.

Casket bearers will be Sammy Alves, Ricky Robinson, Mark Simpson, Anthony Ladd, Jeff Ladd, Zack Morgan, Joshua Leisure and Kevin Burgin.
