Kenneth Ray Searcy, 71, husband of Judith Peach Searcy, passed away November 14, 2022 at Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY.  Born in Anderson County on November 21, 1950, Ray was the son of the late Marshall William Searcy and Jessie Mae Monroe Searcy.

A 1968 graduate of Anderson High School, he currently served as the Manager of Operations at Bluegrass Energy in Lawrenceburg where he worked for the past 49 years.  Ray also served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  His greatest love was his family and especially his grandkids and his dogs Mandy and the late Molly.  He enjoyed his co-workers and hearing their family stories.

Along with Judith, his wife of 48 years, he is survived by his daughter, Tonya Ashby (Brad) of Lawrenceburg; two grandchildren, Leann Ashby (Jake Brown) and Wesley Ashby; a sister, Jane Jackson (Larry) of Frankfort; a brother Bill Searcy (Myra) of Versailles; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 12:30 Friday, Nov. 18, 2022 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Corn and Chris Brewer officiating.  Burial with military honors will be at 2:30 Friday at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Jessamine County.  Visitation will be 5 – 8 PM Thursday and after 10 AM Friday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tracy Cinnamon, Sonny Chapman, Brad Ashby, Wesley Ashby, Jake Brown, and Bobby McCoun.  Honorary bearers will be Bill Searcy, Larry Jackson, Mike Wells, Dudley Shryock, Chucky Jenkins, Sammy Tipton, and Jason Brown.
