Ray Matthews, 62, husband of Minnie Baxter Matthews, passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. Born May 14, 1956 in Louisville, KY, Ray was the son of the late Raymon Matthews and Agnella Henrietta Fetter Matthews.

Ray was a retired employee of General Cable and attended Pleasant Hill Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood working, working on cars, and especially loved his family.

Along with his wife, Ray is survived by two children, Trena (Rick) Bolt of Georgia and Raymond Matthews of Lawrenceburg; five grandchildren, Michael Bolt, Rachel Bolt, Malachi Matthews, Evan Matthews, and Kali Matthews; two sisters, Donna Walsh and Susie Mercer, both of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 16 ^th beginning at 2:00 PM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Bro. Roy Temple, Jr. will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5 -8 PM.
