Alvin "Ray" Cox, age 77, husband of the late Mary J. Willard Cox, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022 at his home in Lawrenceburg.  Ray was born, September 27, 1945 in Anderson County, KY to the late Jasper A. Cox and Cora V. Buntain Cox.

Ray was a retired truck driver with Reed's Trucking, a member of the Hebron Christian Church, and a Kentucky Colonel.  Ray was a talented guitar player and loved to sing.  He was a former member of the Salt River Band, and had sang and played in several churches and nursing homes.  Ray was also an avid outdoors man and loved to hunt.

Ray is survived by his daughter, Melissa J. Peach and her husband Marty of Lawrenceburg;  two granddaughters, Bethany J. Peach and Brittany L. Hardin (Ben), all of Lawrenceburg;  three great grandchildren, Hannah Raeleigh Hardin, Gracelyn Nicole Murphy and Myako Gaines;  a sister, Margaret Cobert of Midway, KY; a brother, John Cox of Irvine, KY;  half sisters, Gail Gallagher of Louisville, Patricia Settles of Campbellsville and Kathy Douglas of Danville.

Including  his wife and parents, Ray was preceded in death by a sister Linda L. Davis; half sisters, Charolotte Sea, Mildred Goodlett, Rose Lemons, Bonnie Thompson and Hazel Morrison.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Hank Bowman officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M., and after 9 A.M., Tuesday till time of service.

Casket bearers will be Tommy Robinson, Ben Hardin, Junie Robinson, Curtis Robinson, Hank Kendall and Doug Hardin.
